Privacy Policy
How we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
Gimmic Insights (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is a market research firm. Protecting the privacy of our clients, website visitors, and research panelists is central to how we work. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1. Who this policy applies to
This policy covers three groups of people who interact with us:
- Clients and prospective clients who contact us about research projects.
- Website visitors who browse this website.
- Research panelists who register to take part in studies.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact details such as your name, email address, phone number, and company.
- Project details you share when you start a project or contact us.
- Panelist registration details, including profession or role, demographic information, and the screening answers relevant to the panel you join.
- Responses you give when you take part in a survey or study.
Information collected automatically
- Basic technical data such as your browser type, device, and general location, used to keep the site secure and working well.
- We keep analytics and cookie use to the minimum needed to operate and improve the site.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and scope and deliver research projects.
- To match panelists to studies they qualify for and to invite them to take part.
- To verify identity and eligibility and to prevent fraud.
- To carry out, analyze, and report research.
- To operate, secure, and improve our website and services.
- To meet our legal and contractual obligations.
4. Panelist anonymity
Protecting panelists is fundamental to good research. Your name and contact details are used only to invite you to studies and verify eligibility. Before any data is shared with a client, your responses are de-identified — clients receive aggregated, anonymous results and never see your name, email, or phone number. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your identity with clients or third parties for marketing.
5. How we share information
We share information only where necessary, and never sell it. This may include:
- De-identified, aggregated research results shared with the relevant client.
- Trusted service providers who help us operate (for example, hosting or survey tools), under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
- Disclosures required by law or to protect our legal rights.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, to meet legal obligations, or to resolve disputes. Panelists can ask us to remove their details from our active panel at any time.
7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. Sensitive information, including healthcare data, is handled with additional care.
8. Your rights and choices
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or update inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your data or remove you from our panel.
- Opt out of study invitations at any time.
To exercise any of these, email us at business@gimmicinsights.com.
9. International data transfers
We run fieldwork across multiple regions, including the US, EU, and APAC. Where data is transferred across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected in line with this policy.
10. Children
Our services are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “last updated” date above. Significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
12. Contact us
